FAQs

How do you photograph your sessions?

I love being creative with new people and establishing lasting relationships. On your session day, all I want to capture is the feelings, the mood, the emotions, the calm and crazy moments and all the details that make your story unique. For bigger and longer sessions, I partner with a second shooter. I am very particular with who I allow to be my second photographer. I have a tight list of 3 photographers (many of whom have trained under me) that I rotate out, depending on their schedules and price tag. I’m a helluva solo-shooter when it comes down to it.

Where are you based and do you travel?

I'm based out of Montgomery County, Maryland and yes, absolutely. A few of my weddings in the past have been out of state with even one being out of the country. My passport is current, I a frequent traveler, and I am always happy to accommodate people’s wishes. If you want me at your wedding or event and it’s not in the Maryland, Washington, DC, and Virgina areas, have no fear! For a little extra, I will find the best rates to get to you! I prefer to book my own accommodations, flights, rental car, etc, so I’m super easy to deal with when it comes to hiring me for an exotic or far-away event.

When will I get my photos?

I pride in myself that I am able to turn around rather quickly than most photographers. You will receive an online collection link with all your photos within a maximum of 3 weeks. You can download all the photos from the gallery but also share them, choose your favorites, and also order prints!

How many pictures will I receive?

I always try and deliver quality over quantity. For sessions, you can expect 40+ for your standard hour session.
For weddings and events, you can expect an average of 300-500 total images, depending on how much coverage you receive. With that said, I won’t ever cap the number of images I give you if I feel like they all are contributing to your overall story.

What are your payment options and do you have any payment plans?

Great question! I accept cash, certified check, Cash App, Venmo, PayPal, and Zelle.

I offer customizable payment plans and financing to help relive the stress of paying everything in one lump some! Worry less and focus on your big day!

ARE YOU LGTBQ+ FRIENDLY?

Believe it or not, this is a question I get asked from time to time.... Ugh.
I believe in love, the power of telling one's story through my lens, no matter their sexual orientation, and it is not my position to judge who you are. I have many close LGTBQ+ friends and even some in my family circle. So my answer is yes. 1000% yes. Love is love. Forever and ever AMEN.

Do you offer books, frames, or prints?

Good question! Yes! I believe your photos deserve to live off the screen and to pass around. Print your photos. Blow them up big. Decorate your house with them. Make a coffee-table book out of them. All my clients receive full printing and sharing rights. Your online gallery has a store from which you can order all sorts of additional products. Also, 5% of your proceeds go towards helping other like-minded creatives get their start. You can get excited that your helping local photographers and videographers stay grounded and develop their craft.

What happens if you can't make the session or not show up?

After 5+ years of working on my craft and doing sessions, I’ve never not shown up. But on the extremely off chance that I, for some reason am unable to attend your wedding after you’ve hired me, I’ll find a professional, as close to my style as possible (I am very well connected with local creatives that I personally know), who can shoot your day for me. I will still do the editing so that your final images are as close to what you see on my website as possible. If I fail to do all of that, then you will receive a refund of what you have paid me. If we find ourselves, state-wide, country-wide, or on a global scale to be facing a pandemic or reason why large events need to be postponed/canceled, I will do everything in my power to make things right with you. First, there will be no fees to reschedule your date in my calendar. I would love if you asked me which dates are open so we can make sure I’m still available. If I am not available, I would have an associate photographer cover your wedding for me, with me still doing all the final edits. No matter how your plans change, I can still be your photographer. If there is a full cancellation, a refund in the sum of the amount paid minus the retainer and services provided will be refunded in full.

Do you offer videography?

Yes. Yes. AND YES! I am a trained videographer by trade and I have a creative team. If you’re interested in this, please consider the packages. I have a great team, under my creative direction, to make your special moments live through photos and video. You can view some of my video reels here:

Do you meet with people before booking?

I always like at least a chat on the phone, but I am always down for a coffee or tea. Many of my clients live close so it is customary to meet up. If you are far or in another state, I would love to either email, Zoom video conference, or share instagram DMs.

Where are the best food spots in Maryland?

The Maryland, Washington DC, and Virginia areas have some of the best foods in the country however, I am a big believer in local cuisine. WIth that said, I know a few places that represent american and international foods such as Stephens' Smokehouse Catering (www.stephenssmokehouse.com), Mangu Delight (Dominican Food Truck) of Cloverly, MD, Taste the Roots (Empanadas), and The Spot (Rockville, MD).
