Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly are you based and do you travel?

My folks like to say we are from the DMV (not the department of motor vehicles lol) which is short for the DC, Maryland, and Virginia area. Because all three are connected by the local highway loop, we're technically one. I travel anywhere and everywhere. A few weddings in the past have been out of state and I've done a destination wedding once. My passport is current and I am a frequent traveler. Should you need me anywhere and Me or my team needs to fly, I will find the best rates to get to you!

Do you meet with potential clients before the shoot?

Yes! After your inquiry, you will receive an email from me requesting your time or availability to have at least a phone call or in-person meeting. I am always down for coffee or tea. If you are in another state, I would love to virtually meet you via Zoom or share Instagram messages.

Will there be a second shooter?

A second shooter is another experienced photographer/ videographer who works side by side with a lead photographer. For most events and larger projects, yes, there will be another photographer who will help me capture all your good sides and precious moments. My goal is to capture all your feelings, emotions, the calm, and the crazy and it will be a little hard for me to do that by myself. I am very particular with who I allow on my team and have a tight circle of three experienced photographers who have been mentored by me personally. I rotate these photographers in and out based on their availability and price tag however, I am a helluva solo-shooter when it comes down to it.

Can I extend the session on the day of?

For sure! Whether you're feeling a little more creative or just need me to tag along a little longer, I'm in it for the long run. I do charge overtime for contractual agreements at a time and 1/2 of the hourly rate (1.5). For example, overtime for an hourly rate of $100 is $150 for each hour over the agreed time.

When will I get my photos?

I pride myself with quick turnarounds than most photographers. You will receive an online collection with all your edited photos within three weeks. You are allowed to download, share, choose your favorites, and order prints through this online collection.

How many pictures will I receive?

I always try and deliver quality over quantity. For most sessions, you can expect 30+ for your standard hour session. For weddings and events, you can expect an average of 300-500 total images depending on how much coverage you choose. With that said, I will never cap the number of images I give you if I feel like the additional photos contribute to your overall story.

What are your payment options and do you have payment plans?

Yes! I want you to have the best experience and worry less about having to figure out the whole wedding budget... It can be very overwhelming. With that said, I accept Credit Card, Zelle, Pay Pal, and Certified Checks. Cash is only accepted in $20 or $100 bills. I also offer customized payment plans and financing.

Are you LGTBQ+ Friendly?

Sadly, this is a question that comes across often. I believe in capturing authentic experiences, the good, the bad, cute, and the ugly no matter your sexual orientation or preference. Love is love. Forever and ever. Amen.

Do you offer books, frames, or prints?

Your photos deserve to live off the screen and to pass around. Print your photos. Blow them up big. Decorate your house with them. Give your parents wallet sized pics. All my clients receive full printing and sharing rights. When you receive your photos, your online portal includes access to my print store where you can make purchases on whatever you want! 5% of your proceeds go towards helping other creatives get their start!

Do you offer videography?

Yes! I am a videographer by trade and I have an excellent creative team. You can view videography packages above. Looking to do some custom work? Please contact me and share your vision!

What happens if you cannot make the session?

After 5+ years of working on my craft and doing sessions, I've never not shown up. In the extreme off chance that I, for some reason, I'm unable to attend your wedding or photo session, I'll find a professional as close to my style as possible (within my creative circle) who can shoot your day for me. I will still bring creative guidance and do the editing so that your final images are close to my style as possible. If I fail to do that, then you will receive a refund of what you've paid me. If we find ourselves in a pandemic and your event gets cancelled or postponed, I will do everything in my power to make things right with you. First, there will be no fees to reschedule. Secondly, we will meet again to make sure the new date is available on my end. And Lastly, we will live happily ever after... But seriously, if there is a full cancellation, a refund in the sum of the amount you paid minus the retainer and services provided, you will be refunded in full.

Where are the best food spots in Maryland?

Ha! The DC, MD, and VA area has some of the best foods in the country however, I am a big believer in promoting local cuisine. Here are some of my favorites:

- Stephens' Smokehouse Catering
- Mangu Delight Food Truck (Dominican)
- Taste the Roots (Empanadas)
- The Spot (Korean Food Court)
